The suburbs we draw families from.
Sunbird sits on a quiet street three back from the gardens end of Edge Hill and draws from inner and northern Cairns, from the gardens end of Edge Hill out to Redlynch and Smithfield, within a 12km run of most of the suburbs below. Times are off peak, in ordinary Cairns traffic, and drawn to show the shape of the run rather than to scale.

- Edge Hill. We are here, three streets back from the gardens end
- Whitfield. Straight down the hill
- Cairns North. Five minutes on Sheridan Street outside the school run
- Freshwater. The back way past the station beats the highway before eight
- Redlynch. Most Redlynch families drop on the way into town rather than on the way home
- Smithfield. Our furthest regular run, and only worth it for a five day booking
